Together We Care, Together We Share: Farrasindo Group Blood Donation Drive with UDD PMI Tangerang Regency
Farrasindo organized a blood donation drive for all employees in collaboration with the PMI Tangerang Regency Blood Donor Unit (UDD) as a tangible manifestation of social responsibility.
Jakarta, Tuesday April 28, 2026 -- In order to realize its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Farrasindo organized a blood donation activity for all employees in collaboration with the Tangerang Regency PMI Blood Donor Unit (UDD). The event took place with great enthusiasm, followed by dozens of employees from various divisions who volunteered. This activity is not only conducted regularly but is a tangible form of contribution to building national blood stock availability and fostering shared humanitarian values.
The blood donation activity began with participant registration through the Sidoni application, blood pressure checks, body temperature, weight, and hemoglobin levels. After passing these checks, participants declared eligible as donors could proceed with blood collection by the medical team. The entire process was handled directly by trained medical personnel from the Tangerang Regency PMI UDD using single-use sterile equipment, ensuring the safety and comfort of the donors.
Donor Experience
Interestingly, the experience of donating blood is not always the same, even for those who have donated before. Some employees admitted to still feeling a bit nervous each time they donate, even if it's not their first time. Tension usually arises while waiting for their turn or when seeing medical equipment, but gradually disappears once the process begins.
Some also felt a light sensation after donating, such as slight weakness or soreness in the arm area after blood collection, but this is normal and can be quickly recovered after resting and consuming food.
Conversely, for routine donors, this activity has become part of a healthy lifestyle as well as a simple way to share.
"Participating in blood donation is a form of sharing with others and also for one's own health," said Agus Wijaya, General Manager of Fresh Beton Indonesia.
Blood Donation Recommendation: A Drop of Blood, a Million Hopes
Blood donation should ideally be done routinely every 2–3 months for those who meet the requirements. By donating regularly, we help save the lives of many people who need blood transfusions, such as accident victims, surgery patients, and those suffering from certain diseases.
"Don't be afraid to donate blood; it won't make us sick but can make us healthier because blood donation can regenerate red blood cells in our bodies," said Jujum, Staff at the Tangerang Regency PMI UDD.
Through this activity, Farrasindo Group and the Tangerang Regency PMI UDD hope to inspire more parties to participate in humanitarian actions. Because in the end, the small contribution we make today can be a great hope for others.
